Livestock patiently wait because they recognize regular feeding times through experience. They understand their needs are consistently met, making patience a natural behavioural response. Routine encourages confidence.

When feeding is delayed beyond expected periods, animals become inquisitive, restless, and unsettled. These behavioural changes signal disrupted management and potential welfare concerns. Behaviour communicates important messages.

Understanding animal behaviour helps farmers improve feeding management, reduce stress, strengthen welfare, and enhance productivity. Observing daily behavioural changes supports better husbandry decisions. Observation improves management.
