Agribusiness is changing rapidly as technology helps farmers improve production, monitoring, and decisions. My experience training farmers on modern sheep and goat rearing revealed the power of digital tools today.

I connected with Mr X after training and supplied quality goats, but challenges emerged despite sourcing good animals. The real issue was limited farm visibility because he lived abroad remotely.

Videos sent to him were insufficient until CCTV cameras were installed for 24/7 farm monitoring. He could then confirm feeding, watering, medication, and proper management practices at the right times.

This technology reduced livestock mortality drastically because management improved through constant observation and accountability. Mr X later said “Opeyemi we have just started business,” showing how technology unlocked his success.

Technology remains a powerful partner in agribusiness by bridging distances and improving livestock care. Farmers should embrace innovation because smart monitoring creates sustainable growth and profitability across modern agricultural enterprises.
