Dear aspiring and current farmers!
Aspiring and current farmers, agribusiness rewards knowledge, but misinformation can quietly turn opportunity into costly mistakes. Before buying animals, understand breeds, genetics, terminology, and quality standards clearly. Knowledge protects investments.
Recently, I contacted a supplier seeking a Kalahari or Boer goat hybrid, preferably F2. Her responses suggested limited understanding of hybrid terminology, so I explained it simply. Always verify claims.
The following day, she presented a goat as an F2 Kalahari hybrid. However, based on its visible characteristics, I identified it as a Sahel and Sokoto Red crossbred. Expertise matters.
Without adequate knowledge, a farmer could easily pay a premium price for an ordinary crossbreed. Farmers must learn continuously, ask questions, compare evidence, and consult professionals carefully. Protect your investment.
Farmers deserve honest information, not exaggerated claims. Never fear challenging questionable advice respectfully, because informed decisions protect your money, animals, and future. Build knowledge before building your farm or business.
