Even after years of experience, I still seek trusted colleagues’ opinions before making animal purchasing decisions. Their perspectives strengthen confidence and improve my final judgment.
After identifying animals with my desired traits, I carefully examine them before sharing my selection with experienced colleagues for independent review and constructive professional observations.
Most times, my colleagues agree with my choice, confirming my assessment. However, occasional differences remind me that expertise can produce different perspectives without implying incompetence.
I have always believed nobody is an island of knowledge. Seeking another professional opinion helps me notice details, challenge assumptions, and make better decisions consistently.
Consultation does not weaken experience; instead, it strengthens decision-making by combining knowledge, practical experience, observation, and professional judgment. Two good heads can accomplish more.
I encourage farmers and livestock entrepreneurs to embrace collaboration, regardless of experience or position. Humility creates room for learning, better choices, stronger results, and success.
